Most of our work happens in occupied homes, offices and live buildings, so safety is mainly about other people: isolating services before touching them, controlling dust and access, keeping escape routes clear, and working only within the hours the building permits. Every job is risk-assessed before the team mobilises.
Before work starts we identify what could go wrong on that specific property: live electrical circuits, water under pressure, working at height, confined spaces such as risers and plant rooms, hot works, and who else is in the building while we work. The method is agreed with you before the team arrives.
Electrical circuits are isolated and proven dead before work begins, and water is isolated and drained before pipework is opened. This is the single most important rule on our sites and it is not skipped to save time.
Work zones are separated from living and working areas. We use dust sheeting and floor protection, contain cutting and grinding, and clear debris as we go rather than at the end. Escape routes, fire exits and extinguisher access stay clear at all times.
Team members wear the protection appropriate to the task and use trade-appropriate tools and access equipment. People carry out the trades they are competent in; we do not have a painter wiring a distribution board.
Communities and towers in Dubai set their own permitted working hours, noise windows, access routes and contractor requirements. We work inside them and obtain the building or community NOC where one is needed.
Incidents and near misses are reported to the supervisor and to you where they affect the property, and the method is changed before work continues. Hiding a near miss guarantees it happens again.
