Licences & Approvals

Burj Al Wasl is a licensed Dubai contractor, and a large part of what we do for clients is preparing and submitting the authority approvals a job needs: Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, SIRA for security systems, Trakhees or the relevant free zone, and the building or community NOC. Handling that is part of the project, not an extra you are left to chase.

Approvals we prepare and submit

• Dubai Municipality (DM) for built works, alterations and fit-out.
• DEWA for electrical and water connection works and related submissions.
• Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) for fire and life-safety aspects of fit-out and MEP.
• SIRA for CCTV and security-system requirements.
• Trakhees or the applicable free-zone authority where the property sits in their jurisdiction.
• Building or community NOC from the developer, owners association or tower management.

Which of these applies depends entirely on the property and the scope. We tell you at quotation stage which approvals your job needs and what the realistic timeline is, because approval durations sit with the authority and not with us.

Our licensing

If you need a copy of our trade licence or insurance certificate for a building management submission or a tender, ask and we will send it directly. That is usually what tower management needs before issuing a work permit.

Why this matters to you

Work done without the right approval can be stopped by the building, can fail at inspection, and can create problems when you later sell or hand back the property. It also invalidates insurance in some cases. Getting the paperwork right first is far cheaper than unwinding unapproved work.
