Our workmanship is warranted after handover: if something we installed fails because of how it was installed, we come back and put it right at no cost to you. Equipment we supply also carries its manufacturer warranty, which passes to you. The warranty period is stated in your quote, because it varies by the type of work.
Defects caused by our installation. Examples: a joint that leaks because it was not made correctly, tiling that lifts because of how it was bedded, a circuit that fails because of a poor termination, paint that flakes because of preparation. If the cause is our work, the fix is ours.
The equipment itself. Air conditioning units, pumps, smart-home hardware, sanitaryware, doors and similar items carry the manufacturer's own warranty, and we register and hand those documents to you. Where a manufacturer warranty depends on installation being done a particular way, we install it that way.
We are straightforward about this so there are no arguments later. Not covered: normal wear and tear, damage from misuse or accident, work altered by someone else after we finished, failures caused by lack of the routine maintenance the equipment needs, and pre-existing problems elsewhere in the property that we did not carry out work on.
Call or WhatsApp us with the property, what has happened and a photograph if you can. We will tell you whether it is a workmanship item, a manufacturer item or something else, and arrange a visit. We do not ask you to prove the cause first, that is our job to determine on site.
Most clients move onto an annual maintenance contract so the property is inspected and serviced on a schedule rather than only when something breaks. That is usually cheaper across a year than paying per call-out.
