The Garden Homes line the fronds of Palm Jumeirah, the island's most numerous villa type, each with its own stretch of beach at the end of the plot. Most are now well past handover, so owners are renovating tired interiors, rebuilding gardens against the salt air and adding the pools and smart systems the original build did not include.

What decides a pool on a Garden Home plot

Setbacks cap how close the pool can sit to each boundary, the usable area after them is the real constraint, and the ground conditions on reclaimed land decide the shell design. Every pool needs a plant location and a drainage route, which is where a pool drawn without a site visit usually comes unstuck, so the survey always comes before the design.

Approvals and the Structural Stability Report

A pool is structural, so it runs through the Nakheel NOC first and then the Trakhees Civil Engineering Department, never Dubai Municipality. Trakhees requires detailed structural and plumbing drawings, and from 2026 a Structural Stability Report, all of which we prepare and manage. The pool is also sequenced with any landscaping so the garden is built once rather than dug up twice.

Built for the Palm, and easy to run

A pool here works hard: sun burns off chlorine, dust loads the filter, and evaporation and sea air concentrate salts. We size the plant and circulation for that, specify tiling, coping and water treatment for a pool that stays clear and safe through the summer, design any infinity or overflow edge with the balancing tank it needs, and hand over a pool that is straightforward to maintain, with a compliant barrier where the community requires it.
